Reformed Theology
King's Church can be characterized as a Reformed Baptist church. As a Reformed church, the Five Solas of the Reformation, the Doctrines of Grace, and Covenant Theology are integral to our teaching and understanding of the Bible and all of life. As a Baptist church, we are committed to the distinctives of Baptist polity, including the belief in a church membership comprised of those who have been baptized as believers, and the autonomy of the local church.
We affirm the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession of Faith (2LCF) as a faithful document which closely summarizes what we believe the Scriptures teach. We espouse it as our church’s confession of faith, taking noted exceptions to paragraphs 22.7, 22.8, and 26.4 which can be read here.
